Shut-In Communion Ministry exists to provide communion and fellowship to
those who are in the hospital, nursing home facilities, or are homebound.
Ministry Needs:
Homebound Communion Delivery: Two or three more couples/individuals who are willing to deliver communion on a rotating schedule. The leaders prepare the communion box each week for the volunteers.
All volunteers have to do is pick up the box in the communion room at church. There will be a list in the box that contains a list of addresses/phone numbers of those who need communion delivery on that particular week. Volunteers simply deliver and serve communion to each individual on the list, taking time to fellowship with each person. Fellowship is a big part of this ministry; Sometimes the volunteers may be the only ones these individuals see regularly.
The boxes are returned to the communion room the following Sunday.
